Vondrous previously featured a Samsung 3D HD television set. The perfect compliment to that: a Samsung’s 3D Blu-Ray Player. That combo brings a whole new world of 3D viewing possibilities to your home. And not only with specially made 3D discs. Ordinary 2D movies and even your home photographs can be “up-converted” to 3D as well.
So is the technology ready for prime time? Check out this list of Samsung 3D Blu-Ray player pros and cons.
Among its many benefits, an iPad can make a long car trip appear to zoom by quickly. Toward that end vondrous gadget maker Griffin offers the CinemaSeat for the iPad, which keeps Apple’s movie-showing, video-streaming, TV-displaying tablet computer securely attached to the back of a car or airline seat. The CinemaSeat can be especially useful in preempting disputes among rival children as to who hogging the iPad for themselves.
The CinemaSeat includes a padded frame, stretchy accessory pockets and adjustable seat straps.
Apple is excellent at offering new models that make worthy upgrades. Their latest iMac desktop computer is no exception. Its performance is better than the old iMac: a dual-core Intel i3 processor and 4GB of memory are now standard. The screen is better: 78% more pixels render HD quality images. And the extras now include a Magic Mouse and an LED backlit keyboard. The only part of the new Apple iMac that isn’t more: the price.
Before we saw the offerings from German manufacturer redmaloo we associated felt with grade school art projects. Now we know what cool laptop, iPod, iPhone and iPad sleeves can be made from that material.
Redmallo’s laptop sleeves consist of a single layer of high-quality felt easily opened and closed; when open the felt on the side acts as a mouse pad! Their iPhone cases (photo after the jump) are more traditional in design but very artsy looking.
Rarely does a company come out with a product that’s both better and substantially cheaper than the one it replaced. But that’s exactly what Amazon did with its vondrous Kindle DX ebook reader. The new model has a cool graphite body and, more significantly, a 50% brighter screen. And it’s priced around $100 less than the old Kindle.

Several mobile carriers offered a version of the HTC Touch Pro 2 phone before AT&T did. But sometimes patience pays off. And so it did in this case.
The AT&T version of the HTC Tilt 2 phone has the best keyboard of all the carrier versions—backlit silver keys with easy-to-see black lettering and a nice springy touch. In the AT&T incarnation of the Tilt 2 users also get a dedicated symbol row and numbers embedded in the keypad (so there’s no longer a need for the Fn key when dialing).
