After using an Osprey Sojourn to both rush through airports on business trips and backpack to the base camp of Mount Everest, the editors of Spot Cool Stuff named it the best backpack-wheeled bag hybrid. So who are we to disagree?
We adore Quirky, an online store that creates products through crowdsourcing. The virtual Quirky community gathers, vets and refines everything that ends up being sold through the site.
Our favorite item being developed by Quirky: the Trek Support Backpack.
Some of its vondrous qualities:
- Integrated battery! You recharge the backpack’s 7-hour battery and use that to recharge up to three gadgets at once.
- The battery is incorporated into a gadget dock that is easily removable (see photo below). see more
Looking for a daypack designed for holding a both a laptop and SLR camera? There are two we think are especially vondrous. One is the Crumpler Sinking Barge. And the other is the Kata Sensitivity V.
The Crumpler is the larger of the two. But that is it’s only advantage. The Sensitivity V has a thinner profile and the more comfortable straps. We also like the Sensitivity V’s two frontal U shaped flaps—they allow separate access to the top and bottom compartments separately; and since the zippers aren’t load-bearing they won’t break or wear out.
