The simply ingenious Mocubo Chopping Board is yet another reason we love the Quirky online store.
At Quriky, all the products for sale are designed through crowdsourcing. That is, ordinary people collaborate through the Quirky website to propose product ideas, develop product designs and even create the product names and marketing tag lines. The Quirky team then finds vendors to mass-produce the final result.
Like many of Quirky offerings, the Mocubo seeks to solve a simple problem: What to do with the vegetables after they get chopped up on a cutting board?
If you’re chopping multiple veggies with the aim of bringing them out to the grill (or putting them on table for tacos, or serving them with dip at a party or storing them for later use) your previous best option was to pull out a bunch of little bowls. Of course, this then meant washing those little bowls later.
With the Mocubo you can use slide your chopped goods directly into pull-out drawers built into the cutting board. There are four of them in all, three small and one larger. Add non-slip rubber feet and an attractive bamboo top and the whole thing is stylish enough to serve from. $39.99
