The Tent Sofa is neither proper tent nor a full-sized sofa. But it is a chair that can transform into a children’s hideaway sleeping area. Designed by Philippe Malouin, the Tent Sofa wowed at the 2009 Milan Design Week and is now sold through the Italian manufacturer Campeggi. See it in action in the video below: see more
Apple Mac fans rejoice! An updated version of the ultra-thin MacBook Air is out.
The two most notable new features: The option of an 11-inch screen (in addition to the regular 13-inch) and standard all-flash storage.
The introduction of an 11-inch screen marks Apple’s first entry into the netbook market. At $1000 for the 64GB version and $1200 for 128GN, the new MacBook Air is expensive compared to other netbooks like the popular and excellent ASUS Eee PC 1015PEM. Then again, it is lighter (2.1 pounds vs 2.3), much better looking, a far superior screen and all-flash memory. Which brings us to . . .
. . . the new storage system. It is entirely flash. That translates to faster performance, longer battery life and, best of all, the new MacBook Air turns on instantly.
Other new MacBook Air goodies include a brighter screen, sleeker design and a larger multi-touch trackpad.
In the beginning, man was a mere LEGO piece. In time, through the process of natural selection, a LEGO torso was added, then LEGO cup hands, then LEGO plastic hair. It’s all depicted on the LEGO Evolution of Man t-shirt, sold exclusively through the LEGO online store.
Ease and convenience of a point-and-shoot camera, meet the manual control and outstanding photo quality of an SLR. Manual control and outstanding photo quality, ease and convenience.
Those converge in the new Panasonic Lumix GH2 camera. In fully automatic mode the GH2 is exactly like point-and-shoot. But the GH2 also allows for interchangeable lenses and sports all the manual settings of a high-end SLR. That makes it the perfect camera for the beginning photographer who aspires to become expert. The GH2 is that rare camera you can use out-of-the-box, without reading instructions, but can grow with as your photography skills increase. The GH2 has been designed with the future in mind too—Panasonic will even be introducing a 3D lens for it. see more
