We recently lifted up the cushions of our sofa and found a whole trove of coins, keys, books and assorted nicknacks hiding underneath. Our guess is that Japanese artist Daisuke Motogi had a similar experience. And that, the spirit of “If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em,” he designed the Lost In Sofa.
Motogi’s sofa is covered in gaps between cushions that are specifically designed to put things in. Store a book, sunglasses, the TV remote and even a cup of coffee by sticking it into any crevice.
Unfortunately, Lost In Sofa is only in the concept phase at the moment. But we’d buy one if it were ever available for sale—as soon as we found our wallet.
